Lampofyrs in the Western Carpathians: petrochemy and geochemy
Investigators from institution:
Co-operating institutions and scientists:
Lamprophyres are uncommon, small volume ultrapotassic igneous rocks primarily occurring as dikes, laccoliths, stocks / hypabyssal equivalent of magmatic rocks. They rarely occur in the Western Carpathians territory and we have only some detailed information from past (Hovorka1967). We are seeking to acquire new data about geological setting, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry age and origin of lamprophyres in the Tatroveporic basement sequences, the Western carpathians.
